About me

I am Praveen Kumar Katiyar , have been instruemental in software development since 1997. My early experience was developing GUIs for Electrodynamic Vibration Test Systems for a engineering and research company Saraswati Dynamics . as a key programmer developed GUIs for various applications.

I left Saraswati Dynamics in August 2000 , to join a multinationtional company ALSTOM which eventually sent me on an overseas assignment to france. where i developed various components and GUIs for their major products.

Sadly in 2003 i became ill, and returned to india, and for almost 2 years i was bed ridden and under treatment, which later left me paralyzed under waist. with very limited physical movement.

From 2006, i have started working as freelance professional, i have diversified, working as a freelance consultant specializing in systems design, desktop application development and website design. particularly with.

I can manage to walk very small distances, with the help of a stick, I use a modified vehicle for commute.

Work experience summary

I have a rich experience in application software designing and development for industrial control systems. if i divide my whole experience into pieces, it will be something like below.

• Since December 2006, working as a freelancer.
• 3 years (2003 - 2006) i was on bed, under treatment, and was unable to move.
• 3 years (2000 - 2003)with a MNC, It is also worthwhile, to mention that it also includes 2 years of overseas experience with French team in France
• 3 years (1997 - 2000)with a private limited comapny , which is market leader in vibration control systems in india.
